Spybot Search and Destroy
Spybot is another program that does an excellent job of cleaning out any spywhere you might have.
It works much like Adaware but targets spyware moreso than adware.
This free version does not run in the background and keep you protected so you have to run it manually when you suspect you might be infected..
Running it reguarly such as weekly is even better !
Unlike Adaware it goes one step further and will "imunise" your computer against a large amount of spyware.
Ensure you update it first so you have the latest definitions.
When you select the update option, you will be presented with a list of "mirrors" to download the updates from.
Select any one of these then click the continue button. Check all the boxes in the available updates then click the update button.
Once its updated, exit the update utility and go to Imunize. Use the Imunize button and let it complete the operation.
Now its time to "Check for problems". Once the scan is complete, check the boxes on any objects found and then click the Fix Selected Problems button.
Your computer is now free of Spyware.
